James P. McDougall Joins Solicore as Vice President and Managing Director of Europe Middle East and Africa

Lakeland , FL – May 2, 2006. Solicore, Inc., a leading provider of ultra-thin, flexible, lithium polymer batteries, announces that James P. McDougall has recently joined the company as its Vice President and Managing Director, EMEA. Mr. McDougall is based in Europe and will provide general management, sales and business development leadership for the region.

“James brings 18 years’ experience in the battery, flexible display and smart card industries to Solicore, with particular expertise in commercializing disruptive technology. Mr. McDougall has been instrumental in a variety of start-up and turnaround assignments in sales, marketing and operations worldwide with private and public companies including Aveso, Inc., Solicore, Inc., Valence Technology and International Components Corporation,” stated Dave Corey, Solicore’s CEO.

Most recently, Mr. McDougall served as the Vice President of Sales for Aveso, Inc., a Dow Chemical spin-out, start-up where he helped secure early stage funding to form the company and develop its commercial strategy. He has extensive experience developing early stage companies and emerging markets.
