LAKELAND , Fla. , April 18 -- Solicore, Inc., a leading provider of embedded power solutions, announces Mark Allen, former CEO of Transmeta, joins the Company's Board of Directors as an independent Director.
"Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and a rich set of experiences that can help our organization as we bring leading-edge embedded power solutions to market and scale our manufacturing operations. Mark's particular expertise in bringing high-volume, high-performance product to market will complement our existing Board and the Company," said Dave Corey, Solicore's CEO.
Mr. Allen has more than 27 years of experience in successfully managing operations for leading technology manufacturing companies, including positions at Transmeta, NVIDIA, C-Cube Microsystems and Cypress Semiconductor. He was President and then CEO of Transmeta from 2000 to late 2001. Prior to joining Transmeta, he ran operations for NVIDIA, where through his efforts NVIDIA was able to scale their manufacturing to meet ever-increasing demand. Before NVIDIA, he was Senior Vice President Manufacturing at C-Cube, and prior to that he was Vice President Worldwide Manufacturing for Cypress Semiconductor.

Mr. Allen brings the total number of Board members to six.
