SOLICORE APPOINTS MATTHEW KENDALL AS VP MARKETING AND PRODUCT MANAGEMENT TO CONTINUE COMPANY’S EXPONENTIAL GROWTH

 Technology Industry Veteran Joins Solicore Team, Supports Core Initiatives
 
Lakeland, Fla.—April 15, 2008—Solicore, leading producer of ultra-thin flexible lithium polymer batteries, names Matthew Kendall as vice president marketing and product management. The executive appointment supports Solicore’s initiative to drive Flexion battery adoption throughout global markets for powered smart cards, RFID applications and micro medical devices.  This addition also marks Solicore’s commitment to expansion and industry leadership.
 
Kendall joins Solicore with over 20 years of leadership experience in the microelectronics, RFID and medical device industries. Previously, Kendall achieved substantial success in leading new product developments and building international teams for companies like HID Global and Lucent Technologies semiconductor spinoff Agere Systems.  Kendall also led electronics design and product development efforts for Siemens Medical Solutions.

In this new position, Kendall will direct Solicore’s product life-cycle management program, elevate the partner relationship management agenda, spearhead marketing communications and execute branding/positioning efforts. In addition, Kendall will also be responsible for all aspects of Solicore’s Flexion product management including technology integration and customer support in established and emerging global markets.
