Daniel J. Tillwick Joins Solicore Team with Proven Track Record of Success
Lakeland, FL.—November 4, 2008—Solicore, Inc., global leader of embedded power solutions, announces the addition of Daniel J. Tillwick, an industry veteran with over 20 years of management and leadership experience, to its team as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Tillwick has held a number of key leadership positions at major companies and has a proven record of driving national and international results in product development, operations, sales and new business development. His background and experience will be instrumental to Solicore as the company continues to grow its ultra-thin, flexible Flexion® battery market worldwide.
A Chemical Engineer and MBA with a strong operational and business background, Mr. Tillwick has a track record of successfully leading the rapid scale-up of manufacturing and operations in private and public companies. Mr. Tillwick comes to Solicore from Jabil Circuit, where he created a global strategy and built an international team that is today responsible for over $2 billion of electro-mechanical revenue. This involved ground-up infrastructure creation, including people, process and capacity. He also developed a new customer into a projected $100 million revenue producer in six months by building multiple business segments. Prior to his position at Jabil, he served as COO and General Manager of Tracewell Systems, where he implemented operational infrastructure to ensure on-time delivery and increased revenue by 35 percent. While he was CEO and General Manager of Zimmer Packaging, he secured a 99 percent on-time delivery rate and also reduced cost of goods by 20 percent while fostering productivity, sales and service.
“Daniel Tillwick has demonstrated experience growing manufacturing operations to meet customer demand, consistently increasing output, efficiency and revenue while minimizing costs,” says David Corey, CEO at Solicore. “As Solicore continues to drive innovation in the industry, the ability to recruit and cultivate top-tier talent while adhering to high quality standards in all areas of our operation is crucial to our success. We feel Mr. Tillwick will help our team to maximize Solicore’s ability to continue to deliver superior results for our rapidly expanding client base.”
Solicore will be exhibiting at CARTES and IDentification 2008, November 4-6 in Paris, France at booth 4P010. For more information about Solicore or its innovative Flexion battery portfolio, visit www.solicore.com.
